Parking Options

Undercover parking is available at the Newcastle Private Hospital. Turn into John Hunter Hospital entrace.  Follow signs to Newcastle Private Hospital, turning left onto Jacaranda Drive. Turn right into Tea House Road, continue along Tea House Road and at the end of Tea House Road you will enter the Newcastle Private Hospital car park (down to the right of the building). You have the option of turning right into the "consultants carpark" boomgate, or continuing straight ahead into the hospital boomgate. The cost is $2.50 per hour.

Alternative Parking Options:

There is an outdoor carpark at the front of the Newcastle Private Specialist Centre’s Building.  Follow the above instructions however when turning into Tea House Road, then turn left into Lodge Drive, and take the first carpark entrance on your right.  The cost is $3.00 per hour or $30.00 per day. This payment is made outside the front entrance of the building before leaving the car park.

Undercover parking is also available at the John Hunter Hospital Car Park 6, which is opposite and at the back of the Newcastle Private Specialist Centre. Payment is made in cash only at exiting the car park.

There will be a short walk to the Newcastle Private Specialist Centre.

Public Transport

The nearest train station is at Broadmeadow.  It is approximately 10 minutes drive by taxi or private transport from the station to the Newcastle Private Specialist Centre.

Buses to the John Hunter Hospital are:

• 13 from Newcastle
• 11 from Charlestown
• 13 from Warners Bay/Glendale
• 42 from Wallsend 

Public buses will only stop at the John Hunter Hospital. There is a small walk through John Hunter Hospital, exiting through the Royal Newcastle Centre through Car Park 6, to the Newcastle Private Specialist Centre.
